| The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2005): When brash border agent between the Texas Mike Norton (Barry Pepper) unjustly kills and buries friend and ranch hand Pete Perkins (Tommy Lee Jones), the latter recalled a promise he made to bury his friend Melquiades Estrada (Julio Cesar Cedillo) in his Mexican hometown. He kidnaps Norton and exhume the corpse of Estrada, and the odd caravan sets on horseback for Mexico. As the body begins to rot Estrada, Norton begins to unravel, but Perkins remains determined to honor his vow. | ||
